History OffroadPassport.com went live in August 2009 as the project and passion of three friends in Arizona. Founders Kristoffer Smith, George Zalman and Diane Zalman had become acquainted over the years as their trails crossed and often aligned on various 4x4 adventures. Their idea was to create a place where outdoor enthusiasts like them could come together to plan trips and share adventures of all kinds: ATV & motorcycle riding, boating, hunting, mountain biking, hiking, camping with friends, 4x4 trail riding and especially multi-day expedition style 4x4 adventures - the kind of trips that had gotten them together in the first place. Community First and foremost, everyone with a capable 4x4 is welcome, regardless of the vehicle make and model. Though we are passionate about planning and leading trips ourselves, a real community exists where all members are encouraged to plan trips, report on and share pictures from past adventures, and in general add-to and benefit-from the knowledge base and experiences of fellow members. Adventures We have lead an expansive list of multi-day expedition-style trips to destinations such as The Rubicon Trail; Ouray, CO; The Maze District; Moab, UT and The KOFA Wildlife Refuge. We also continue to organize Annual Christmas Party Trail-rides and Weekends at The Cinders OHV, Rock-Clinic Technical Driving Workshops, and many day trips on various trails in around southern Arizona.
