7/28 - 8/4/2012: Southern Sawatch Mountains & Arkansas Valley Area (Near Monarch & Salida, Colorado)

Join us for all, or any portion of, a week long vacation in south-central Colorado! We'll be running trails in the southern Sawatch mountain range by day, and lodging in the Arkansas Valley area at night. Both offer amazing scenery. The Sawatch Range has eight of the twenty highest peaks in the Rocky Mountains! Trails vary from 2WD forest roads to some of the most extreme in Colorado - you can join us on whatever you feel comfortable with as we hit the entire range during the week. There's plenty else to keep you occupied on non-trail days - ghost towns (such as the famous St. Elmo), hot springs, world renown white-whater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, or just relaxing in a quaint mountain town are all possibilities. There's even an 18 hole golf course tucked away in nearby Poncha Springs. And of course the area is rich with 18 & 1900's mining, railroad, and steamy bordello history! Don't miss the big trip of the year, sign up now to explore more of Colorado with us!
