Looks good! And that is SUCH a better placement than the stock WJ. Hooray for JK axles!

Hey Kristoffer,
Im new to the group and have spent the last 2 days reading your build up. Ive got a 02 WJ and currently have a IRO 4" short arm kit installed with the Deuchtec (spelled wrong) shocks. Im going to be upgrading to the clayton 6" kit here very soon. What shocks have you used and which do you recomend. I dont mind spending a bit if they will work, but like the lift it was great at the time but proved not to be what was the best for the long run. The Deuchtec shocks just seemed to be to stiff, some said they were for larger trucks. What do you recomend for shocks?

those DT shocks are a little stiff, so were the Rubicon Express ones. i've been happy with the Teraflex VSS, but they aren't actually listed for a WJ - i used the ones for a 6" lifted 4-door JK and then we moved my shock mounts on the axle to accomodate them based on my bump-stop height. i don't remember where i had gotten the collapsed length online to make sure they were going to fit - you would probably need a bit shorter ones with factory axles and mounts.

That is really cool! Chad. I thought of using my steering wheel buttons to control my winch. Chad.

thanks!

interesting idea! i saw a mod once, i think it was on an XJ, which allowed you to control your engine RPM with the cruise control buttons so that you could idle-up when winching or jump-starting someone, etc. i thought that was pretty neat.
