Greetings to all of the current and future members.
Since this is an introduction, I will bore you with a little information about myself. I mostly grew up here in the great state of Arizona. As a kid living here in the '50s and '60s I have spent my fare share of time hiking, hunting and fishing all over the state. Fast forward, USMC, Vietnam, discharge in San Diego, good paying job, married, house, etc., and in 1999 I decided it was time to get out of California for good, so I came home to Arizona. Now I'm officially retired but starting a second career. Bought my wife a Jeep back in 2000 and joined an off-road group so she could explore the back country. However, that group (which shall remain nameless) seemed to have the idea that you weren't really having fun unless you were causing major damage to your vehicle. Since then we have been doing minor exploring on our own. But being social animals, we think exploring as a group is a lot more fun. So here we are. I hope to meet all of you sooner or later. |

You'll love it here. Plenty of rough stuff, always a way around it.
I spun a tire on the Calico trip and George drove my rig to check out what could be wrong that made me spin a tire. Check the pictures from the recent agua caliente trip.

Welcome to the site! we try to avoid damage, it costs too much!
sometimes we post "difficult" day runs that are rock-crawling and risk body damage, however most of our trips are just about getting out and exploring and having fun with friends. we try to be descriptive, but if you ever have any question as to what the difficulty rating of a particular event really means, just ask! |

Hey Curtis, thanks for your great report on that AR I wanted to buy. I am still in the market for one but I need to sell my Colt Python and my Mini 14 first. Welcome to the site and hope to see you on the trail soon! George
