11/11/2012: FREE Absolute Beginner 4x4 Class! (Near Fountain Hills, AZ)

Always wanted to try a trail but not sure about the basics? Meet us at the trail-head for a introduction on how to use your 4x4. Then join us for a safe, easy trail ride! The clinic will cover such things as: when and how to shift into 4-HI and 4-Lo, airing down tires, how to hook up a portable compressor, how to use disconnects (and why they are a good idea). On the trail we'll offer individual support to anyone with questions about how to best approach beginner obstacles such as: soft sand, off-camber berms, and more. We'll also discuss trail etiquette and basic navigation skills. If you're already and avid wheeler, this would be a great opportunity for a less experienced family member to get behind the wheel!

I would like to attend - I have been letting my girlfriend drive the truck alot lately and I think this would be a great way for her to get more comfortable behind the wheel. Not to mention, there is always something for me to learn as well

Good deal. I can't find it now but there was a good article by 4x4PodCast about why its a good idea to make sure your companion has the ability to drive, like what if you became incapacitated or whatever. It is obviously a plus.
