This month's trip is a Premium Club offering to The Maze District at The Canyonlands in Southern Utah. This is a highly scenic trail, super easy but for one short area rated moderate due it to rockiness. We will have 3 trail-leaders in attendance who will help anybody who needs it through the short rocky section! Here's a link to the picture thread from last year's trip: Canyonlands Oct 2009. This time we're going in at Hite Marina rather than Hans Flat, cutting off hundreds of miles. We also expect the weather to be a bit milder since we're going a little later in the month.
I just wanted to make sure I gave everybody here a chance to get in on this trip before I begin to advertise on other forums. As of now there is room for 2 more rigs on our camping permit. If you're interested in going sign up NOW before it fills up. There's still time to upgrade your membership and sign up; details are on the Trip Thread!

The Maze.
Wish I could go again. I did this trip about 10 years ago and it was SUPER! The one issue is fuel. If you are driving a Jeep TJ or earlier be sure to carry extra fuel. It is a LONG way to the nearest gas and if you drive around much in the Maze, particularly with low tire pressure Jeeps with the straight 6 have a limited fuel range. |
