All of our events are family-friendly. Some trips may be more suitable for certain ages due to the logistics of camping and traveling. Use your own best judgement and common sense when determining what events are safe and/or practical for younger family members.

5/17 - 5/19/2013: Overland Expo 2013 (Near Flagstaff, AZ) (Event & Tent/RV Camping)

Offroad Passport will be appearing at the Overland Expo this year! Our exhibit will feature TheKSmith's infamous Jeep Grand Cherokee expedition rig. The expo is one of the world's largest events for adventure travelers. There are complete weekend packages with classes and demonstrations available, or just tour the exhibits and featured vehicles with a day pass. Over 5,000 people from 28 states and 19 countries visited last year's Expo!

We'll be setting up camp in a wooded area just a couple miles from the event. This will be undeveloped camping (no amenities), but it is car and RV accessible. You do not have to attend the expo to camp with us, anyone is welcome to come and enjoy the nice Flagstaff May weather!

6/1 - 6/2/2013: Smiley Rock, Mingus Mountain & Cherry, AZ

Join us for two trails and one night of camping, or just show up at camp and visit! We'll be running the moderate rated Smiley Rock trail from bottom to top on Saturday morning. Once up on Mingus Mountain, we'll setup camp in the cool forest shade. Sunday we'll break camp and follow an easy forest road down the mountain to the "town" of Cherry where members can easily connect to the nearby I-17. Stock rigs that aren't quite ready for a moderate trail are welcome to join us just for camping and the Sunday run. The camp site is dry/unimproved, but accessible via an easy dirt/gravel road.

10/3 - 10/7/2013: Comb Ridge and Nearby Trails (Near Blanding, Utah)

Comb Ridge is a natural formation nearly 120 miles long, extending from southern Utah into northern Arizona. It is composed primarily of Jurassic-age Navajo Sandstone. There are numerous trails in the area leading to natural arches and other scenic formations, as well as many Native American ruins. This will be a true adventure as we explore both the Comb Ridge Trail and then venture into as many of the adjoining trails as time permits. This trip is rated moderate and lodging is all remote tent-camping.

11/2 - 11/3/2013: Agua Caliente Railroad Run (Near Buckeye, AZ)

Near Agua Caliente in Southern Arizona there are several trails along unused railroad tracks and abandoned mining operations. Evidence of historic settlements dot the desert. Join us to explore these easy rated trails that criss-cross the tracks and spider out into the surrounding areas. We'll stop along the way to tent camp in the shade of a trestle for one night. This is a perfect trip for those with off-road trailers and could even be completed in a 2WD (high-clearance) rig.
