7/28 - 8/4/2012: Southern Sawatch Mountains & Arkansas Valley Area (Near Monarch & Salida, Colorado)

Trails vary from 2WD forest roads to some of the most extreme in Colorado - you can join us on whatever you feel comfortable with as we hit the entire range during the week. There's plenty else to keep you occupied on non-trail days - ghost towns (such as the famous St. Elmo), hot springs, world renown white-whater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, or just relaxing in a quaint mountain town are all possibilities. There's even an 18 hole golf course tucked away in nearby Poncha Springs. And of course the area is rich with 18 & 1900's mining, railroad, and steamy bordello history!
