Join us for a short trail ride and big time fun with your Offroad Passport friends at our annual Holiday Party! We bring the burgers & dogs for a potluck lunch, plus there's the infamous cut-throat white elephant gift game, and the delicious cookie contest!

Note that we have a new location (near Lake Pleasant) and that the optional trail ride is rated moderate this year. The ride is doable by a stock high-clearance 4wd rig with aggressive A/T or M/T tires, such as a Wrangler or Tacoma.

Join up as we explore a remote and seldom visited area of the beautiful Agua Fria National Monument.  Points of interest include the Brooklyn mine ruins, which are juxtaposed near Native American Indian ruins and petroglyphs.  The trails should be suitable for any 4X4 vehicle, however, this run is subject to cancellation based on inclement weather since there are some water crossings and we don't want to damage the trails with deep ruts.

A trip to CK is made awesome with the winter weather and a good amount of (hopefully) flowing streams from snowmelt! In running the trail once a year, it's amazing to see how the trail changes in those 1 year snapshots. I've seen it in snow, sun, rain, and cloud - from mild and 60 to freezing and 30. Winter normally makes for a slightly less-traffic'd trail as well as many of our SXS friends won't brave the cold morning temps.

If you're a Jeep-owner, this is an official Jeep Badge of Honor trail. Jeep recently expanded their BoH offering in Arizona, with 3 trails represented (Table Mesa and Schnebly Hill are the other 2). If you're unfamiliar with the program, click here.

      Trail Difficulty:   Moderate  to  Difficult
This trail "changes" all of the time depending upon wear/weather. There are multiple (7) obstacles, all but 1 (to my knowledge) have a bypass.

Vehicle Recommendations: 2"+ flexy lift, skid plates on important areas such as transfer-case & gas-tank, sliders/rock-rails, aftermarket differential covers, high-clearance metal bumpers, low axle gearing, 4:1 transfer case, 35"+ tires.   Sign-Up & Details: Event sign-ups coming soon! Check back soon.

Join us as we run the difficult Hackberry Creek trail near Superior, AZ and adjacent to Devil's Canyon. Enjoy the spectacular scenery while overcoming numerous challenging obstacles. This is one of those 'run it while you still can' trails since the entire area was apparently sold off to mining interests. This run is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

Come explore KOFA Wildlife Refuge for 3 days, 2 nights and approximately 105 miles (actual mileage TBD) of exploration on this overland style run. This run will take us through some amazing parts of the KOFA National Wildlife Refuge. We'll wind up at the Hovatter homestead Saturday night then head north to the I-10 on Sunday. This scenic area is known for wildlife, old mines & cabins from the area's mining glory days.

Join us for an epic overland trip in Utah for the Hole in the Rock Trail. This adventure follows a portion of the historic Mormon Pioneer route on the south side of Lake Powell (note this is different than the easy rated "Hole in the Rock Road" section to the north). Several remnants from the 1879 expedition are still visible, carved into the rugged terrain. Incredibly scenic views will delight any photographer and the Moab-esque slickrock offers plenty of 4x4 wheeling challenges as well. This is truly an overland trifecta!

FYI, we'll be visiting the impressive "giant washout" on the original trail before continuing to the end of current 4x4 route (and back out).

Note: The first and last days' itineraries do allow for travel to/from Utah but would make for very long days (coming from Central AZ). If you have the time, you may want to add and extra day on each end of the trip for the highway travel. There is a nice first-come, first-serve campground at Hall's Crossing with showers, tables, and fire rings/grills. An RV park with full hookups is situated across the street (those spots can be booked ahead of time). There's also a ton of BLM land in the general area for free primitive camping.

Hello ORP Family, it is time for a road trip in July  2024!  Come join my wife & I in Ouray, CO aka "The Switzerland of America". We are staying in town at the St. Elmo hotel all week.  There are other hotels around and a nice KOA Campground (they have Cabins too) not too far out of town. I am aware that this time of year is busy, but hey, it is always busy up there in the summer time.

I have at least 2 days, most likely 3, of wheeling. Other days are for other exploration.

Due to popular demand, the 15th annual Dirt Gala will be back at the Cinders! Come spend the weekend camping with us at the O'Leary group site near Sunset Crater in your tent, trailer, or RV. Friday afternoon we'll do a short moderate trail ride into the Cinders OHV area, then on Saturday we'll take an easy trail behind the San Francisco Peaks over to a short hike in the Lava River Caves. Both trail rides are optional - you could also just hang out at camp, go into Flagstaff and play tourist, or explore on your own!

Chock full of friends, family, games, prizes, laughter and dirt – there’s fun for everyone! So grab the whole family and join us. Don't be that person hearing about all the awesome stuff you missed for the next whole year!
