Camera Re: 11/2018: Exploring Bagdad to Prescott
Kevin's rig blends in with the cool rock formations near Bagdad:

Chris & Sarah crossing a shallow stream not far into the trail:

it was a long day, i had gotten up early to pre-run the trail for the upcoming Black Friday run. so i left the group on the way out to take a nice nap in the cool Prescott area weather.

then i explored more of FR-705. there seems to be some great camping areas in the cottonwoods along there.

i headed back up to county road 68 after seeing a sign that FR-705 was going to be a dead end.

last minute i decided to check out the parallel road David had told us was very narrow and brushy, 9871B. he was right - these were probably a couple of the wides spots on that whole trail!

it started to look like there was going to be a nice sunset...

but as it turned out, it was a SPECTACULAR sunset!

eventually i rejoined 68 and aired up in the dark where it dumps out onto Williamson Valley Road.

this was a good day of exploring - definitely worth the trip! thanks again to Kevin for organizing and leading.

I captured the route we took on my GPS. Finally extracted the log and imported into Google Maps. If anyone is interested it is here

2008 JKU Rubicon • Manual • 3.5" Rock Krawler Lift • 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC tires • Smittybilt SRC Front Bumper • Smittybilt winch • Enough, but not too much KC lighting.

2015 JKU Rubicon • Automatic • Stock • BFG KM2 tires

2017 Jeep Renegade ("Fiat Jeep") • DesertHawk Edition • No one said you had to like it
