Okay. I've changed my settings so maybe you can view my trip report on this other forum. I used a lot of you other guys photos for the report. Maybe it will work.

I also really enjoy reading your words about the trip. And of course, I can't see the pics over there either. Maybe you can try copy/pasting the whole thing to here? We allow as many pics as you like per post, so try copy/pasting into one big trip report? Even if we only end up with words, at least they're good words.

I believe the problem is that I don't use a photo hosting site. I just upload them directly from my computer. You've seen 99% of the pics anyway.

Some of our favorite photos from the trip.

The first night (Thursday) we slept in the Jeep because we didn't arrive to camp until 11pm. Friday morning we set up the tent and Clayton supervised us.

Clayton with the dog whisper John

Starting the Friday trails to the mud caves. That spot of green way in the distance we would drive through on our way to the caves.

Really cool canyon we drove through

We stopped at an overlook and the trail went down to what was described as difficult. John and George went to check it out. Didn't look too bad but we decided to continue on the original easier route to the mud caves. It was really starting to warm up in the 90s by this point in the day.

The first cave we stopped at would require ropes to get down into it. We decided to try another one on the map

Even with my fear of closed spaces I went into the cave for a while. It was so much cooler in there. Tiffer and Chris climbed all the way out to the top. Here is a picture of them on top of the cliff wall.

We returned back to camp after the mud caves and sought refuge in the shade

The temps however dropped quickly and we broke out our jackets. The propane fire rings did little for warmth but were nice for light.

The next day (Saturday) we did a short run across the desert and up into the hills above Anza Borrefo

I finally got to check out the metal sculptures in the Borrego Springs area. There were a ton of them but it was really hot by then so we only got a few pictures and then made our way to the next trail in the Ocotillo Wells area.

Chris "let" me drive the Ocotillo Wells trail. It was a lot of fun and looked like we were on Mars. Very few bushes or plants. One of the palm springs turned out to be a dead palm! We took a break at the Pumpkin patch.

Kristoffer then took me to my favorite part of the day to Font's Point. The views were amazing!!

The guys having fun on the edge of the cliff

Then back for cocktails at camp and maybe a nap

The sunset was awesome that night

Our dog Clayton was exhausted by this point and insisted on going to bed in the tent. I checked on him a few times and found he stole my cot in the tent. It was a struggle to get him out of my bed that evening!!

Thanks again for another great adventure. Link to the full album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xr5hymULH92Z8nOa2

Ah, the Badlands!! Loved adventuring through there with my parents and our old FJ40 when I was a kid. Great memories and lots of fun stuff to see and do.
