Default Gracie gets a "Spare Carrier" upgrade
Ladybug's Gracie has an aftermarket spare tire carrier of a brand which I do not know. I only know that Ladybug installed it herself, and it has been a fine addition to Gracie in many ways.

However, it did not come with a stop to keep it from swinging full open, and damaging the body or top, nor to keep it open, such that it would not inadvertently catch on the liftgate glass, causing it to shatter at an in-opportune moment.

SO, while I was awaiting the repairs to the rear propshaft (See Gracie gets the shaft thread), I mulled over some possibilities, and finally did the simple thing, and added a weighted pin that would self-catch and lock the carrier in position when swung open, necessitating manually lifting the weighted pin, in order to close the tire carrier.

And here it is…

Ob1's Jeep & motorcycle spa is solidly booked for the next 44.6274385 years…

Seriously though… I am able to help with some projects on an "As I can get my own done first" basis…
