Excellent trip report. That first picture has one of the weirdest rock formations that I've ever seen.

This was a fun trip, we wound up making/changing our plans daily, but we got to see a lot of pretty country.
Karen has covered the trip pretty well, here are a few more shots of the trip.

A park ranger doing a demonstration of blacksmithing aty Pipe Springs.

A sign for Toroweap.

Steve guides the Buick up a rough patch.

Making plans for tomorrow.

A California Condor, seen at Toroweap.

A group of rafters having dinner. (Super zoom shot! )

A grave marker at Grafton Cemetery. A 4 sided post, with 4 names on it. All killed by indians, part of a reprisal for the attack at Pipe springs that Karen mentioned.

Life was rough in Grafton in 1866

A view from Lava point on Kolob road. Zion in the distance.

A grove of Aspen trees on Kolob road. They were just starting to leaf out.

Devon and Karen have a spaghetti cook off at State line camp.
