Great job! I like the center section of the hood painted black along with the louvers.

Lots of projects. Here is one he just did. Finally got a shade awning. It is a cheaper model and hopefully will last for a while to protect us from the brutal sun. I was told I might need to waterproof it as some had complained about it not keeping rain out. Thankfully in Arizona that isn't a huge issue. Picked up the Smittybult 2787 Shade awning. It was longer than I pictured.

Chris created and welded on mounts for it. He didn't like the cheap loops they came with. He made it so we can still mount some LED lights underneath the awning in the future.

Here is the awning attached.

I'll get a picture of the awning stretched out in the near future.

So our WJ has become jealous of the XJ getting all the attention. Chris just had to replace the transfer case this past week in our WJ. A bearing decided to go out and we had metal throughout the fluid. He again went with a 231 Jeep Liberty transfer case which we found locally from a junkyard in North Phoenix. These are way cheaper than looking for an appropriate transfer case for the WJ. Then he rebuilt it with a heavier chain set from ebay. Love this seller. We bought from him 5 years ago and he still continues to ship quickly and communicates at every step. Chris also discovered that his u-joint on the front drive shaft needed attention so he fixed that as well.

We tested out the 4WD this weekend on a short trip to the north side of Lake Pleasant. It worked great!

Up next for the WJ is a new transmission. We had replaced ours about 4-5 years ago. She for the past several months has been making a grinding/growling noise that we were chasing. Turns out it is the transmission. We found a low mileage transmission yesterday. Joe at OnPoint Performance will be installing it mid June for us. Once this is out of the way we hopefully will be back to the fun projects such as new suspension seats, a folding table off the rear bumper, and a sleep platform, etc.
