with nearly 74k miles and our big UT trip next week, i decided to replace the serpentine belt and 2 idler pulleys. there is a third pulley on the tensioner, but it seems you have to replace the entire assembly and since it's a fancy hydraulic tensioner, it decided not to spend the money on that yet - maybe at 90k.

i removed the entire air intake assembly to get access, then slowly compressed the tensioner with a 1/2 drive breaker bar, slipped the old belt off one of the pulleys and slowly released the tensioner.

then i had to remove the alternator support bracket to get at the pulleys. there are 4 bolts, needed 13mm and 15mm sockets and an extension.

the pulleys also require a 13mm. FYI, the driver side pulley bolt is the longer one (if you get them mixed up).
