Night Photographers Criss-Cross America Visiting "Dark Sky" Locations for Awesome Star Photos

Quote:
Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mehmedinović traveled more than 150,000 miles to a staggering 500 locations across North America in order to capture these images, which feature millions of stars, far-off galaxies and areas of extreme darkness that offer an almost primeval contrast to glowing cities.
- Quoted from Yahoo News

You can view more photos in the Skyglow project and purchase a book or prints directly from the photographers here: https://skyglowproject.com/gallery/

The project features several photos from Arizona including the spectacular Grand Canyon image above and this scene from Oak Creek Canyon:

This Antelope Canyon shot is one of their most unique and a personal favorite:

Really beautiful gallery, thanks for sharing. I'm impressed by how many are from AZ and southern UT. Confirms my belief that we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
