Jeep New member from San Antonio
Hey y’all, new member here from San Antonio, TX. Current owner of a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Wheeled a 2008 JKU until we decided to upgrade to a “Glamper” aka 23ft travel trailer and needed a bigger tow vehicle. Currently trying to sell my 2015 Tentrax trailer that was purchased for a road trip of a lifetime after I retired from the USAF after 24 years of service. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s adventures and being a part of this community!

One of these days I’ll pick up a project JK/JL, but my next buy is getting a Ram 2500. I’ll throw a leveling kit on that and do some engine work.

and thank you for your service! Nice set-up(s) you've got, both current and former! I was wondering if your new travel trailer is too much for the Grand to pull, and maybe you've already answered that when you mentioned you're getting a truck. Glamping looks quite fun and relaxing!

The Grand is rated at 6200, TT is 4750. It pulls it just fine, but want something with a bit better pulling capacity and stability. Plus to be honest we’re already looking at a bigger trailer! We want to do a bit more traveling and longer distances, so a diesel would give me better MPG.
