Video Camera 1940's "modern" map making (video)

check out this 1940's black & white film "Caught Mapping" about how maps were researched, authored, checked, and mass produced with "modern" technology. it was sponsored by Chevy and has some great scenes worth skimming through at least! it's under 9 mins.

Hey, we saw that movie in my 4th grade class! Kidding. But have you ever noticed how slow people must have read back in the day? They gave us 25 seconds to read one of the intro screens that had 5 words on it. Just saying. I especially liked the 2 chicks in the convertible checking their handy road map before making a left turn! Must have been a plum job just drawing in detours if you ask me...

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I think the guy who did the voice over was the same one in all the movies I saw while in school. Great voice!
