Great pics gang!

Ksmith - Outstanding. Looks like you will have the photo contest locked up! ;)

Would a less flexy YJ on 33s have trouble negotiating some of those decents? I could not tell what that TJ was rolling on. My concern would be my wheelbase and tipping forward. I don't imagine it was an issue with the WJ and XJ.

Too good. You have to do that trip sometime again. I would love to go there.

So I posted this on the VJC in a thread called "Creatures I've seen while wheeling".

Wayco came back with a link on Wikipedia; our little friend is a Triops!

Triops is a genus of small crustaceans in the order Notostraca (tadpole shrimp). They are considered living fossils, with a fossil record that reaches back to the Carboniferous, 300 million years ago.

Triops are sometimes called "living fossils". Fossils attributable to this genus have been found in rocks of Carboniferous age, 300 million years ago, and one extant species, Triops cancriformis, has hardly changed since the Jurassic period (approximately 180 million years ago).

I think you would be ok on the decents, but flex is your friend on this trail. We all used every bit we had. George:cool:
