I made an edit to my trip report because George pointed out that it sounded like we had gone over the same part of the rocks where K got stuck. We went over some easy mild stuff to the right while theksmith & Maddog went over the gnarly stuff further left. Sorry for misleading everyone, my bad. Diane

Wow, great pictures Chris & Sarah! Again, I might be sending the story in to JPFreek - would you be willing to send some of these to me for submission with the ariticle?

Apparently Sundad was a tuberculosis sanatorium started in the 1920':

So, for those that did their best to help me get my CB up and running over the weekend, I finally found a meter here in Flag, lol... You're gonna LOVE this. I think it's older than I am.

UPDATE: Re-soldered the coax core and was able to tune the antenna to below 1.5 across all channels, with a peak of 1.4 on channels 1 and 40. Kris and Chris, I just learned that an antenna can be electrically short or long, which determines which way to go with the antenna. Evidently, if you get a higher reading on 1 than 40, then the antenna is short and requires lengthening. Alternately, if the reading is higher on 40 than 1, the antenna is too long and needs to be shortened.

Thanks to you both for helping me get all this sorted out! And to everyone else, I'm real sorry that my CB works now and you're all gonna have to hear my dumb jokes and lame commentary.

Cheers!
