New Job - Moving

Recommended Posts

Congrats on the new job.

My wife and I got our undergraduate degrees from the University of Wyoming. We always liked to joke and say "one day the wind stopped and everyone fell over."

If you get a chance head over to Lingle, WY (don't blink or you will miss it..) Go to Lira's Restaurant on the edge of town. You can eat all day for 10 bucks and the food is amazing :)

Good luck and stay warm in the winter.

Hi everyone,

Just checking in to say Merry Christmas, I am in town here in AZ for the holidays.

I love Wyoming, there are deer everywhere I look, bald eagles, and lots of other game. I have been getting accustomed to eating buffalo, and it's better tasting than beef in my book!

The folks are the nicest I've ever met. Everyone thinks they have a Jeep up there though, it's wierd... ... ... everyony waves at everyone... LOL.

The daily attire is cowboy casual, so I fit in really well. The cost of living is significantly lower than here, which is great.

I love Wyoming.

Hope everyone here is doing ok, I have missed you guys!

Merry Christmas,

Don

Good to hear from you Don, and I'm glad you're loving it up there. I haven't been there much myself, just around Yellowstone, but that area sure is purty. Have you gotten out to see the countryside much since you've been there?

Hey Don, glad to hear from you while you're in town! I'll bet it's nice not to need long-johns for a few days!

The area where I live is relatively mild in comparison to the rest of the State. Guernsey is nestled in a valley on the North Platte river, along the Oregon Trail. Not much wind, light snow, and usually above 0* F.

Here are a few pics:
