K7VZ 15 Posted March 9, 2010 What is everyone doing for meals? I was actually entertaining the idea of leaving the camp grill and cooking supplies at home. Eating PB&J and cold meat sandwiches for 3 days doesn't sound that appetizing though. Trying to pack light for the trip. I'm too spoiled having all the gear in the travel trailer. K7VZ 15 Posted March 9, 2010 Yeah, I think that's what we settled on. And the camp stove for heating water. Maybe canned soup one night too. I'll pack a tub of firewood too.
dzJeepChic 2,517 Posted March 9, 2010 I am now in possesion of my new and improved permit. I got to watch the video too, which wasn't bad. They gave some history of the place and, of course, lots of safety warnings. Ah, the video. The one and only time George saw a missle, he got so excited about it he started digging around it and tugging on it to unearth it, until he came to his senses and realized what he was doing and stopped himself. We'll probably grill a couple of times and used canned or frozen food after that. We'll have a fire every evening, so you can even cook hot dogs on a stick if you want, or grill over the fire. I know it's hard to figure out what to bring; I've finally got my kitchen gear down to bare essentials. d
