Mineral found near Patagonia last weekend

Recommended Posts

We found this mineral last weekend near Patagonia at the J.C. Holmes Mine (actually a friend of mine did, I don't have any clue what I'm looking at). It's a mineral called Vanadinit. My pictures don't do it justice. Sparkles in the light much more than shown. My friend used a hammer and chisel to break away chunks of rock from the rock face at the mine. The Vadadinit is exposed after you wash away the clay from the rock.
