Just some light duty changes today. Both light sets were from LMC

Spent most of yesterday reading and trying to find some pics of a factory dual battery setup in a '87 or older truck or suburban (non specific). I chose 87 or older as dual batteries seemed more popular then.

I have a 1991 1500 Suburban and I have two raised molded bosses on top of my fan shroud. I suspect they are there for a reason.

Ignore the yellow loom wiring, that's temporary until i can figure this out. I am wondering if the cable went over the shroud loomed and mounted via those bosses to keep them secure.

Thoughts?

The bulbs came with the lenses. I will eventually change over to LED but I wanna do it all in one shot.

Some of the wiring begins.

Dual battery frame build

I started with pulling the factory jack and removed the washer bottle.

I then noticed the charcoal can was siting too high.

In the midst of trying to find a new spot for the can I noticed it had two other holes. and its like a lowering option. it dropped it more then enough to keep it in the same spot.

A lot of bubble gum and magnets to hold it in place while I measure and figure.

Its just sitting in there but right its a 1/4" high as its sitting on bolt heads and nut flush cap screws. There is also another 1.5" before it hits hood plus I am going to have some good terminal covers on there so I am not worried about grounding out the positive terminal.
