Off-Highway Vehicle Program Managers Solicit Public Input (Phoenix, AZ -- October 15, 2012) The Arizona State Parks department is hosting three workshops to provide input on the Statewide Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Program. The purpose of these workshops are to identify key issues related to OHV recreation in Arizona from all stakeholder perspectives and to gather information from all stakeholders to help the agency operate a comprehensive and effective OHV program. Arizona State Parks does not currently manage land for OHV recreation but plays a major role in OHV planning and management across the state in many ways. The Statewide OHV Program administers grant funds from both state and federal sources, coordinates a statewide OHV advisory group and provides educational information. "The program has had many accomplishments and received national awards, but due to budget reductions and staffing shortages the program has operated at a minimal level for the past few years," said State Parks Executive Director Bryan Martyn. "We recently used the state OHV Recreation Fund proceeds to hire an OHV Program Coordinator and will be revamping the Statewide OHV program. Staff will be soliciting input from all stakeholders on how best to move forward," he said. dzJeepChic 2,435 Posted November 16, 2012 That survey was messed up! More like an essay question - I had to study. I wrote out a couple paragraphs about issues in the state I have issues with and then copy & pasted them in. But I think it took me a couple weeks to get that done.
