the dyno chart you have earlier in the thread is old, let's see the latest!

 

i've done a helluva lot more to the car and could easily add 2-3 pages with the ups and downs since the interior sprucing.

 

Driving the car home from work a while back i mashed the gas pedal into the floor & all of a sudden lost power steering. Decided to limp it home since it was hot outside, the steering pump leaked anyway & i was only a block away from my house. That's when steam erupted from the radiator and the oil pressure gauge started going crazy. Long story short, the "custom" alternator bracket previous owner had fabricated cracked along a weld, which threw the serpentine belt that severed the oil line to the supercharger as it ejected from my vehicle. My engine was toast. It happened so fast. There is still a trail of oil stained asphalt from Horizon High School to my house. Should not have limped it home but the damage was done. Here is a shot of the cracked alternator bracket:

Need to get back to work on this..

 

The old motor had been rebuilt at least once before & since the alternator bracket had failed, now clouds of white smoke would pour out of the right side of my exhaust under hard acceleration & or making right turns. The plan all along was to go fast so the search for a new engine began. Remembering the old adage on my quest for increased horsepower, "there is no replacement for displacement" i found this

I thought so too ob1. Special ordered the long block with these aluminum Air Flow Research 205cc cylinder heads just in case;)

They feature massive 72cc combustion chambers & 2.08" diameter intake valves for all the forced air my blower will be cramming into 'em. Here they are after getting back from the machine shop where they received liberal amounts of milling, porting & polishing

& since i didn't purchase it assembled, might as well treat the block, crank, rods & pistons to the same machining, porting & polishing the cylinder heads got mixed in with a little blueprinting & balancing for good measure:)

Ford Racing High volume oil pump & pickup installed. Yep, them there are main caps of the 4 bolt variety! Block is good for up to 1,300 horsepowers:p

If this ^^ photo wasn't so damn fuzzy you might also notice grade 8 & ARP hardware utilized throughout

 

Here it is all assembled with lower intake & accessories being bolted on.

Why i opted not to spend the extra $49 for a shiny new Ford racing water pump after all this is beyond me. I've since bolted a new one on.

Final compression ratio on this blown, poked & stroked beast is 9.5:1:cool:

Waiting on the heart transplant, I sensed the car getting lonely sitting around without a motor for such a long time just listening to cat calls from the gentlemen's club next door. So, on Valentine's day i paid a visit to check up on "her" on our way out to eat dinner

Holy crazy exhaust, Batman! :eek:

 

Just wait. It gets better. No Corvettes.

 

With the new motor installed something was needing to be done with the crimp bent 2.25" exhaust to properly flow increased power. Exhaust dumps were still out of the question & space was no less limited. I decided to stick with the same Trans-Am style configuration but this time around went with polished, mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust tips.

& a pair of Bassani mufflers w/ matching 2.5" inlets & outlets. I think it looks much better now than it did before.
