Jomax 0 Posted September 23, 2013 In a dilemma, stuck on which tires to get. I've been looking at the Nitto Trail grappler in a 295 70 18 or a Hankook MT in 325 65 18. Anyone have any experience with either? Any other tire you guys would recommend? All opinions and facts welcome! Thanks David
Jklee 1 Posted September 23, 2013 I like the bfgoodrich krawler. Good on and off road manners. Good wearing from street driving ect. The only weird thing about them is on my 95 grand I ran a 35 inch and is was pretty quiet but on my 08 jk I run stock size and they are incredibly loud. Jomax 0 Posted September 23, 2013 Need it to be a rated E tire.
Jklee 1 Posted September 23, 2013 I'm guessing krawlers are only d rated? Let us know what you end up with maybe I'll switch.
theksmith 3,667 Posted September 23, 2013 i hear good things about the Hankook lately on forums, but that's second-hand info i used to run the Terra Grappler before i got into a more aggressive tire, i liked them just fine but i saw many people complaining they wore out too fast. never ran the Trail Grappler though. give my friend Brian a call at Brian's Tire Pros there in Mesa, ask him what else people are liking similar to the Hankook that comes in your size and is E rated. tell him Kristoffer at Offroad Passport sent you - he'll beat any other price you find. AZBillyBoy 2 Posted September 23, 2013 I am familiar with the Hankooks but not in that size. I have the 31s and they are excellent. Far superior in wear and "chunking" to the BFGs and cheaper too,
Jomax 0 Posted September 23, 2013 I like the hankooks, but while researching, it looks like they're made in China, kind of a bummer. Nothing I ever got from China lasts.. But AZbillyboy seems to have good luck so it's a hard decision.

Thanks for the tire company Kris, I usually use my local Discount tire(I love their warrenty, and they're 2 miles away) I will give a call to Brian though. Might be worth the swap.
