'98 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9

Recommended Posts

Well I am finally a Jeeper again. Going to continue the build my friend started and the ultimate goal is very capable expedition rig that I can run the Rubicon and hit Moab. Already has custom bumpers/sliders/roof rack, mounted CB and HAM, hand throttle, HID headlights, a spring swap 3" lift and numerous other little mods. The new mods will be slow as I am going to do everything right once and avoid redo mods. On the list for sure is a Clayton long arm lift, tube work around fenders, adding my LED lighting I was going to run on the Ram and getting my HAM license since there is one installed.

Will add more later, leave for the slope again tomorrow and have a very busy time home next time. Probably wont be till late March that I get it out.

I still can't believe that AZLugz finally let that 5.9 Limited ZJ go. It's an awesome Jeep for sure. Welcome to the Niner Club. You are going to love it!

Thanks guys, should be a fun build even though it will be a slow build. Can't wait to get on trails with you guys again, especially while not having to worry about the size of my rig squeezing through trails.

That's sweet! Makes me miss mine.

This is my second ZJ (two TJs in the past too), my first one was a very cheap and ugly build though. It got me through my divorce and losing everything while I was nursing my dad back to health though, and building/wheeling it was my escape and I have great memories and it brought me back into the wheeling community and a lot of my current friends.

Day I brought it home.

Last trip with it.

Yeah we have been kind of talking about it the last 6 months or so, but last week it got serious and we made it work :) I was actually with him on the first run with it, one of the very first runs on my last TJ. Really look forward to finishing the build, and I am sure Bill will be part of it along the way. Its actually funny that my new Jeep has a bigger engine than my Ram with a Hemi. lol

Thanks. I have always liked the ZJs with being coils in all four corners, my last one shocked me when disconnected I could stack it on a 40 while one 31s.

Got home yesterday and as soon as I walked in the garage I had to remind myself that this hitch home was dedicated to installing my landscape and getting the house ready for my house warming/birthday party next week. Really can't wait to start doing mods and Bill keeps surprising me with more stuff he is including, so gonna have to fab removable accessory attachments for the roof rack and modify the tire carrier to hold my CO2 tank with 1 gas can instead of 2 gas cans.

Welcome home. I want to stop by and see her.

You going to be around tomorrow or Friday? I may need a hand moving some heavy Jeep parts into the truck.
