Will be trenching for my drip system tomorrow and raking all the loose debris before we lay all the rock on Saturday, let me know if you need a hand.

New control arms got here today and shocks are coming soon, quick discos will probably get ordered while I am at work if I don't decide to make my own again like the last ZJ. Plus Bill gave me a transfer case skid the other day, and Steve and I talked about fabbing up a truss to beef up the 44a.

have you seen the upside down truss that a company used to make for the 44a? braced the tubes but also protected the delicate aluminum diff bottom so that you wouldn't peel back the diff cover on every rock crawl outing. you do lose some clearance, but that diff cover issue was a PITA to me so i would definitely consider it if you plan to crawl much. if it's just a lighter duty trail rig then maybe a traditional truss is better.

I think the idea Steve had did incorporate that too :)

Finally got the time to register the Jeep yesterday and drove her the most since I bought her, hopefully make the time to get the new control arms and shocks on before Country Thunder :)

Scored the pair of these for only $70 last night, gonna paint them black and they will be part of the storage system I am going to build into the back of the rig.

Busy last 3 days, but great for the build.....Picked up a used Tuff Country lift for a great deal today, just need to get new bushings ordered for it. Discount had to order me a new tire after catching a piece of rebar at a railroad crossing, ended up ordering some MB Chaos rims like I have on the Ram after they made me a great deal on 5. Now I will have the right backspacing for the lift and tires, no more rubbing and a better stance. Also made a deal with a fab guy to add some tube work around the fenders my next time home, give me a little more protection for playing in the rocks and on tight trails. Plus I painted the tool boxes black, but probably going to do another coat before I do the install.

Next time home should see a big transformation for the Jeep, planning to also get all my sets of D2s and the light bar mounted and wired up. Need to get an ORP banner sticker for the rear window, got all the old decals off and time to rebadge her.

Getting even more excited for the Rubicon trip :D

That's a smokin deal on those tool boxes! Sounds like you're getting things together.

Rims came in while I was at Country Thunder, got them installed before I flew back to work yesterday.

Bill and I are going to work together and really go all in for wiring for a great expedition rig- second battery, power inverters, compressor, solar charger, fridge pre-wire, my 4 sets of duallys, 10" Rigid light bar, light force rock lights, interior changed to blue leds plus a set of red LEDs for night wheeling, fix the in cab winch controls and mount the electronic locking shotgun mount I just scored for only $65 delivered.
