Dead end Joe 1 Posted January 30, 2014 I recently purchased a mobile VHF radio for the jeep and am looking for the next exam location. Where can i find current information? Many of the clubs websites are years out of date. Thanks for any help.
dzJeepChic 2,565 Posted January 30, 2014 Hi Mike, This is the website where you can search for an exam in your area: http://www.arrl.org/find-an-amateur-radio-license-exam-session In case you need to study, I highly recommend this web site because the learning is interactive, meaning it remembers what you know and tests you harder on the stuff you're struggling with: https://www.hamradiolicenseexam.com/ All the best to you! reybie 75 Posted January 30, 2014 I used the same website Diane did, good stuff. One of the best $25 I spent LOL. I also have a PDF study guide I downloaded somewhere before I saw the HTO website, let me know if you want it and I will forward it to you.
K7VZ 15 Posted January 30, 2014 4x4 Ham is in the process of setting up a monthly testing session. Right now, we're holding test on March 1, AZFJ Hassayampa trail run and also leading the testing session at the Scottsdale Hamfest March 15. I believe both of those sessions will be free. (No $15 fee) We're working on getting setup as a Laurel VE team instead of ARRL. Electronic submissions for next day results at the FCC and no fees.
