theksmith 5,778 Posted May 3, 2014 i sent you a PM, but in case you don't notice those: i think it's fixed - can you try attaching one of the JPG photo's from right out of your camera to a post again? if it fails to upload, can you please let me know 2 things: - what is the file size (i.e. 2MB) - what are the dimensions of the image (i.e. 4,000 x 4,000 pixels) thanks! Lichen 215 Posted May 3, 2014 K-Smith. It downloaded from my computer fine, but is still huge in the gallery. The size is 2.01 MB and 3648 x 2736 pixels. Do you want me to re-size them before I upload to the gallery or just do it this way? If you want me to re-size, what size would you like? Thanks, bud. theksmith 5,778 Posted May 5, 2014 ok i see where the disconnect was - you're attaching them from the "albums" feature then linking to them in the post and i was attaching them directly in the post. looks like i need to adjust the setting to make the albums feature resize them the same way as the post attachment method does. i'll let you know when that's fixed! for now please do resize them to 1024x768 or so... theksmith 5,778 Posted May 5, 2014 i think you might have found a bug in our forum software... we seem to have it setup correctly to re-size images and yet it is only working when you upload them directly to a post using the paperclip icon in the toolbar, and NOT when using the "Pictures & Albums" area. i've contacted the forum software support to see if there is a known fix. please go ahead and upload any pictures you want to share directly to a post, as we may end up having to turn off the albums feature if there isn't a fix available. sorry for the inconvenience Marcus!
