This is introductory level, but more advanced users are welcome to attend and share their experiences! We'll discuss the pros/cons of using a tablet or phone versus a dedicated GPS unit and then I'll do a quick overview of the popular Android apps Backcountry Navigator and Alpine Quest. I'll leave most of the time open for Q&A so we can learn from each other's questions. I'll only be demoing Android apps & hardware, but all of the concepts will apply to Apple iOS devices as well. When & Where: Saturday, June 28th. The discussion starts at 1PM, and we'll probably go for a couple hours. Bring your own device and stick around for another couple hours and I'll help with individual questions. I'd like to kick everyone out by around 5:00PM.
