kaspily 2 Posted November 23, 2014 Starting a new trip report thread for this weekend's adventure lead by Kermit. I'll link my full photo album after it finishes uploading. Chris and I only were able to make day one so I look forward to seeing everyone's photos from Sunday to see what we missed! Huge thanks to Kermit for not only leading us but also having some great history to share with us at each of the old mining ghost towns. Kermit 1 Posted November 24, 2014 Nice pictures - thanks Sarah & Chris. Hope Chris recovers real soon, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner. Pleasure having you both along and look forward to wheeling with you again.
Kermit 1 Posted November 24, 2014 What a blast!! Had a great weekend and no one got hurt. Can't say the same for some of the Jeeps but damage was minimal. We'll sort through the pictures tomorrow and select some for the report. Cathy and I enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones, and that's what it's all about. Hope everyone had a safe journey home and we look forward to wheeling with everyone again.

mynr1 191 Posted November 24, 2014 Wow what a great trip...We did a "lot" of wheeling in the 2 days we were there. The camp site Russ picked out for us was great, he even had our fireplace ready to go, all we had to do was drop a match! He also so picked up a lot of wood from around the site so we could enjoy a fire until bed time. Dinner was really good out in the hills, Chile & potatoes, thanks to John & Lauren. Not to be left out was Joe & Chris who brought "smores" & a flat bag of marshmallows! (ha ha) Also had a big fire when we got up & had breakfast which was bacon, saugage & French toast prepared by John. Everybody pitched in on the trail to make sure there were no mishaps. We had some great spotters & in a few places really needed them. Jake "pacman44" did a really good job on getting his "Trail Hawk" though some difficult places. There were mines everywhere, & drop dead scenery everywhere you looked. 4Wheel drive was engaged in the morning & not taken out until back @ camp....Russ thank you for a very enjoyable trip & meeting a nice group of people. Chris hope you are feeling better....Al
