Like wheeling and camping in the Superior area?

Recommended Posts

Not sure how this might impact trail access but Chris was thinking Hackberry Creek Trail might be threatened by this new play to close off the forest to the public for mining.

Might be time to write your senator to try to fix this.

Do we know if it passed in the house? If so I'm very surprised because environmentalist and Native Americans oppose.

If it did, how long will it take to get to the Senate and how soon before they vote on it?

The BRC sent us a book with contact info for all our elected leaders, but there aren't email addresses.

Tribal leaders and activists will host a "Gathering of Nations" at Oak Flat Campground on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The event will be the culmination of a two-day protest march, led by San Carlos Apache leaders, starting in San Carlos, Ariz., and ending at Oak Flat. The march will begin on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m., at the tribal offices in downtown San Carlos, at 11 San Carlos Ave.

For details, contact apache.stronghold@gmail.com or call 982-475-2930.

Never been to Oak Flat but it looks like Saturday would be a good day to go there.

As much as it's gonna hurt to watch this, as the saying goes… "Money talks and BS walks"… :(

The ABSOLUTE WORST part of this, (IMHO), is that this was passed, by OUR congress no-less, for a FORIEGN company to reap the money while raping the land… :(

NO ONE will EVER convince me that there were not pockets in congress, being lined with "hush money" in this deal… :(

Yea, it was attached to the "no one will vote against it" Defense bill. Nice...
