G was going to change the diff fluid in Smurftruck, but was happily surprised that the fluid is still clean after about 15,000 miles, and no metal shavings whatsoever. dzJeepChic 2,516 Posted April 24, 2018 Before heading out to SOCAL and the Anzo Borrega State Park last week, we dropped some coin and G replaced: fuel pump, alternator, starter, serpentine belt and tensioner, and idler pulley. dzJeepChic 2,516 Posted August 10, 2019 Whelp, turns out a corroded freeze plug was the cause of Smurfy leaking coolant out of the bell housing. He's currently at the shop all taken apart with the engine out! He's getting all new freeze plugs and a chemical flush, plus a few other hard-to-reach tasks, since the engine is out: new distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs.
