Are you replacing a defective switch or adding a new switch/circuit to the rear wiper?

I just bought a hard top and my jeep did not come with the switches on he dash. I was going to wire the oem switch to the wiper because i do not think i have the wiring harness which connects the wiper.

only problem with oem switch (#56007249) is that if you don't have the harness then you might have to figure out how to plug into it and which pins do what (it has 6!): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windshield-Wiper-Switch-Rear-AIRTEX-1S1809-fits-97-01-Jeep-Cherokee-/311314179132?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item487bc5643c&vxp=mtr

something like this would look fairly factory but be easier to wire if you don't have the harness: http://www.otrattw.net/CONTURA-V-WINDSHIELD-WIPERS-UPPER-LED-INDEPENDENT-V1D1GNNB-PZCWW-500.html

EDIT - if you want everything to work on your fancy new shell, you might want this: http://www.quadratec.com/products/11190_50.htm

If you need to figure out connections on the back of the switch, I have the factory 2006 TJ manual complete with the wiring diagrams. I don't know if the wiring has changed but if the switch is the same for an 06 It would be a good place to start.

You may have, or be able to get, this info yourself. If so please disregard.

Just curious how many people use the rear wiper. I accidently turned mine on once.
