jburns 1 Posted January 16, 2017 Anyone have any write ups or where I can watch on how to trim and open the fender wells? I've read and reread the instructions for bushwacker. I want to open the fender wells as much as I can with a clean finish. But I'm not finding anything on how people have finished them off. I can cut them and happier them but I'm worried about the finish as opposed tomgetting the bushwacker flares. I'm not a big fan of dropping 500 I don't need. Not really a fan of how they look

dzJeepChic 737 Posted January 16, 2017 I think there's a write up about it in theksmith's 2003 WJ rig build but idk which page ??? https://offroadpassport.com/forum/showthread.php?t=
theksmith 1,368 Posted January 16, 2017 on my XJ i cut them with a little extra and then just used pliers to roll bend them back and create a "rolled" edge, but it had a squarer profile so it was easier. on the WJ i tried that door edge molding stuff in the front but it kept coming off so i just had a sharp edge there - the backed were folded over. the only problem with not rolling the edge in the front is that the fenders get flimsy on the WJ and will end up with a crease in the top the first time someone leans against it.
