September, 24th to 29th: Arizona Strip, Grand Canyon North Rim, Easy to Moderate, 4x4

Recommended Posts

I am planning to run trails to some of the overlooks in the Arizona Strip from september, 24th to 29th. It would be a camping trip with a moving camp.

The idea is to visit Snap Point, Twin Point, Andrus Point, Muley Point, Whitmore Point and Whitmore Canyon and Parashant and Andrus Canyon.

This will be a mostly easy trip, but is rated moderate, because of the exploration character. We try to reach some of the unknown overlooks, where I don´t know, how the road conditions will be.

We will leave on september, 24th from St. George, UT and will go down Mainstreet Valley and then camp either at Poverty Mountain or Twin Point. The next days we will run, as far as we come.

The biggest problem on this trip is fuel. There is a possibility to get fuel at Bar 10 Ranch, but this has to be arranged in advance.

End of the trip would be on friday and we would most likely go out of the Arizona Strip via St. George, UT.

If somebody is interested, just post to this thread.

We checked now with Bar10 and should not have a problem to get fuel there.
