12/2 - 12/4/2018: Parker & Lake Havasu 'Splorin, near Parker, AZ, 4x4 Difficult, primitive camping

Hi Diane,

Are the tracks in gpx format?

Thanks,

Mike

It's kml file that opens in alpine quest just fine. Plus the trail is in the backcountry adventures book.

Hi Diane,

I can convert kml to gpx so we are good. I can lead if you all are still sick. Hopefully you all feel better tomorrow.

Thanks,

Mike

It's called warm springs wilderness I think.

I’m coming down with a cold too. I don’t think I’ll make this trip either.

G and I are SO SICK. :( We can't go.

I updated the leaders and attendees lists.

gearhead, I will email the KML file to you, and George will call you to talk about what we had planned, etc.

Weather looks near freezing for the overnight low

I am not into tent camping at that temperature so it’s either running the Suburban or bailing out. I hate to bail but I dont know the trails and would not want to irritate my friends running a sub-capable vehicle and impacting the adventure.

So reluctantly I think I am out on this trip

Mike, thanks for stepping up to lead Saturday... if Elkpkr is still in, then i guess it's just him and you that first day & night.

i'll meet you kids Sunday morning at the Love's truck stop on Hwy 95 just south of I-40. i'll be there by 10am, but don't rush getting out of camp - i'll see you guys whenever you get there.

i'll lead the rest of the trip. we will definitely camp out Sunday night, but then we can play it by ear Monday. with the small group i'm thinking we can probably run all the planned trails and still get back home Monday night, but bring a 3rd night's food just in case.

so pack your warmest clothes & sleeping gear - and some firewood if possible!
