1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ Build

Recommended Posts

Jeep is back on its feet again! Had to slightly lengthen the trac bar after the new front springs, and decided that I should probably switch to the 3.5 inch Rubicon Express rear leafs. It needs a slight alignment, so will get that done this weekend after I install the new IRO steering rod and Moog tie rod ends. The CavFab adjustable upper control arms should be here Friday too.

Ha! Looks like I am not the only one that has removed the fender flares and have not gotten around to trimming them! :)

Yup - was tempted to cut but thought I’ll rather wait until I get the Napier V2’s so I can make a proper template and only cut once

Here is a comparison picture of how the Jeep is currently sitting vs how it will sit with the new springs. As of right now, it has Rubicon Express 3.5” coils up front, with a Rough Country 3” full leaf pack (11 months old).

I stuck the Hi-Lift jack into the hitch and jacked it up about 2 clicks. This is more or less where the Rubicon Express 3.5” full leaf pack will sit once it arrives Friday.

As it is sitting right now
