Chris and Kristoffer had to cut off the original rear bumper that would not come off easily:

The old BFG 31" all terrains were not going to be big enough for Sand Hollow so we purchased a set of Patagonia Milestar 33x12.5x15 We also didn't have enough time so we had 4 Wheel Parts install a Rubicon Express 4.5 " lift.

With the new tires and no lift:

So the trip to Sand Hollow was a success and the little jeep did really well on the rocks. Her poor tired engine however sounded like a diesel and was overheating on the roads. Nothing like running heat on high all the way from Phoenix to St. George, Utah during the summer! We ended up deciding to purchase a reman engine from Promar Precision Engines. This is the same company that we got the WJ engine from. The engine arrived and the head was from a newer style 4.0 engine. We had wanted the 1991 head which has better exhaust flow. Chris contacted the company and they wanted to make sure we were happy. About two weeks later we had the correct head arrived.

Old engine coming out. Nothing like an engine swap in over 100 degrees!

While the engine was out we got in new motor mounts from Brown Dog, transmission mount from DB Metal Worx, front transmission seal, water pump, new upgraded battery cables, mopar heavy duty cooling radiator, Mishimoto transmission cooler with fans, and other associated parts.

Thanks to John for also sweating it out in our garage on the re-assembly:

Shout out to Joe and Onpoint Performance. I took it for an AC recharge and it turned out the bolts on the fan clutch were working lose. 2 had sheared off on my drive over and the fan was about to fall through the radiator. Joe spent several hours with me fixing this! Plus he got the AC to blow at 44 degrees!

A big thank you to everyone for getting the new engine in and all of the help over many days getting her trail worthy!!
