CAVU2 79 Posted April 22, 2018 DATE CHANGE: Camping @ Tuweep JUNE 9 - 10th. This is the date that NPS has confirm the group site. Heading to GCNP Tuweep on the north rim for 1 night. I reserved the group site at the primitive campground. At this time, my preference is to camp in the Parashant Monument Sunday night. I can be convinced to reverse and camp on Friday... if anyone plans on attending. Reference: https://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/tuweep.htm Parashant National Monument REQUIREMENTS: - NPS Park Entrance Fee Paid or Pass (Try Pipe Springs NM) - review the NPS site for recommendations, plenty of fuel, food, water, spare tire, etc. - high-clearance vehicle with 4x4 low range, a mild lift with oversize A/T or M/T tires, and good armor/skids. - a working CB - drivers and vehicles must meet all state/federal legal requirements (seatbelts, insurance, etc.) Attending: (limited to 4 rigs / 11 people total) 1. Also, is there a way to edit the subject? updated the title for you with the new date - the forum prevents regular users from changing it but i haven't figured out why yet (you as the thread starter are supposed to have permissions to do that, must be a bug). also thanks for posting this, we can't make it that weekend but i'm hoping to visit the north rim at some point in the next couple years so i look forward to your report on this camp site!
