Goose 6 Posted August 17, 2018 Goose - did you shoot all these great photos with your phone? any post processing? Yes, all photos on my phone. I'm really impressed with the cameras in the phones these days. I'm currently using a Google Pixel and some of the pics are post processed with the built in editor; usually just the auto adjust edit. That seems to pop the colors just enough.
Goose 6 Posted August 17, 2018 Day 7 and 8 (supplemental) I took the Amtrak train through the Rockies from Grand Junction to Denver and back. This had been on my bucket list for a while. It's a great way to see some beautiful country; for much of the way it follows the Colorado River. The Denver train station (and the whole downtown area) has been refurbished and is now really nice. SantaFeVolvo 0 Posted August 26, 2018 Hi Guys - Spence from Santa Fe checking in. Thank you for catching me on Scofield Pass and getting me turned around. I was very late for dinner (having to go back through Crested Butte and over Kebler Pass), but since the dinner was in the back of the Volvo, I was right on time. I love the photo of the ORP lineup with the Volvo in the middle! Looks like a desktop photo for me - a good reminder! A couple of days later, we did the punchbowl and Schofield Pass proper in a lifted FJ Cruiser. That was easily one of the hairiest drives that I (and the driver) have ever done. We were alone and There is NFW that I would have ever made it and I think Paul was right that ORP did save my life - stupid tourists - always getting into trouble! Thank you to Goose/Paul, John, Scott, Ladybug/Karen and Steve (and anyone that I forgot). Great TR - and the scenery there was amazing. Thanks again, ORP! dzJeepChic 2,380 Posted August 26, 2018 Solid work ORP gang! You hate to butt in on folks, but once in a while your gut just makes you do it. Glad you took the initiative and spoke up. Sounds like Spence from Santa Fe is glad you did too.
