Pelagius 0 Posted May 29 Ksmith, Thank you for the info! It is street legal so no issues there, just wasn't sure of agreed upon activities and such.

Curly 24 Posted June 27 Kris, do you think an RV can make it to the campsite? I wanted to know as well. My trailer has low clearance, didn't want to have to turn around. I drove up there today with Jim G to check it out. The road is trailer/RV friendly. FR 318a is in good shape, little to no washboard, some small rocks. The road back to choice 1 is a bit rough with small rocks and a couple of ruts. The trees may brush some larger trailers. The actual campsite is quite large, nice views, but..........very rocky ground. Tenters won't like it. Road in: Rocky ground View: Choice 2 is not quite as big as 1, but the ground is definitely less rocky, lots of shade too. Plenty of room for tents and trailers. There was class C parked back there today. Access road was in good shape. View: About 100 yards N of choice 2 is another decent area, views aren't as good, too many trees in the way, but you can't see the view at night anyway. Just for fun we ran FR 141 on the way home, an extremely well maintained dirt road with lots of campsites along the way. FR141 connects Highway 260 and 87, bypassing the T intersection of the 2 roads.

theksmith 180 Posted June 27 thanks for scouting current conditions Tim! and yes, we'll shoot for what we listed as the 2nd choice since it's easier for trailers of all sizes.
