theksmith 5,878 Posted August 17, 2020 Quote Last week, one of our guests died. He was found just a half a mile from his Jeep, dead of dehydration and heat-related illness. It was preventable. It was unnecessary. It was the result of bad decisions. I am sharing the details of his story with you, in the hopes that it will help prevent similar tragedies in the future. good article, very sad circumstances that necessitated it though. thanks for sharing.
dzJeepChic 2,926 Posted August 17, 2020 Very sad indeed, mainly because if he had been forthcoming in his story to Nena's staff, he'd probably be alive now. I feel horrible for Nena and her team, it must be so haunting. Occasionally people ask me why we need information about medical conditions, medications and emergency contacts, on the ORP Waiver form. We ask for it so that in the case of an emergency we have a lot better chance of helping you survive. I understand that it's personal and private information, and that people are reticent to give it. So let me just tell you honestly: I have read 2 of them in the whole 11+ years we've been doing this. Both times it was because I wondered if someone who was being a crabby pants is diabetic, so I could offer up snacks. Be safe out there!
