Lichen 110 Posted February 16, 2011 I'm bailing too. I've got the flu I think. Started feeling sick on Monday and was hoping it would pass, but it's not to be. Enjoy! I only made it through 90 minutes of work today. I'm sipping on some blended whisky and will probably top it off with a chaser of NyQuil. God willing, I still plan on making this trip. theksmith 4,150 Posted February 16, 2011 Do we have any other HAM operators in this group? We'll be on simplex 146.460 There are some repeaters in Barstow and Laughlin, but the one in Ludlow seems most likely to have coverage for the majority of the trip. The Ludlow is an open repeater running on 147.885- I also have a call scheduled with nwoods on that repeater at 7pm Saturday eve if we can get through. He's bringing a small group the opposite direction of us and will be curious as to whether we ended up crossing the soda "dry" lake.
dzJeepChic 2,565 Posted February 16, 2011 I just added this to the info on the 1st post: Last Minute Checklist $6 exact change for camping friday night$5 exact change for pitching in on Special Use PermitFilled-out & Signed ORP Attendance Waiver (if you have a printer. If you don't we'll supply a copy to you).Firewood (if you have room)Port-a Potty & Wag Bags We're just about packed. Threw in a bunch of warm woolie stuff and some tarps. Looks like it's never going to get over 60* all weekend and dropping into the high 20s overnight; rain almost surely Saturday. I packed a bunch of manifold food in case it's hard to cook in the weather. d

Matthewp 1 Posted February 17, 2011 I just added this to the info on the 1st post: Last Minute Checklist Filled-out & Signed ORP Attendance Waiver (if you have a printer. If you don't we'll supply a copy to you). Question: do my wife and I EACH need a waiver form, or can we both be on the same form? It's not an issue in any way either way you wish. Thanks, Matthew
