Number7 81 Posted February 22, 2011 I'm new to this group, but this thread caught my interest since I am planning this same trip in April. How deep was the water crossing at Afton Cyn? This trip will be on dual-sport bikes and am curious about the water depth. I did this about 3 weeks ago, and the Mojave Wash terrain had really changed since the heavy rains in Dec. Thanks for any info- The water crossing was not deep when we crossed, I would say 18 inches deep at the max. George:cool:
Lichen 106 Posted February 22, 2011 I feel like a weenie for missing this trip, but I would probably be in an iron lung if I would have camped in the wind and snow and rain. El Camino del Diablo!!!
Project510 2 Posted February 24, 2011 OMG my only proof that I was there I couldnt even get right. I had the GoPro mounted on the truck and recorded myself driving Afton Road.. or so I thought. Apparently it was just taking pictures every second. LOL.. what a mess. I almost feel liek I have to go back ASAP to redeem some sort of self respect haha! For myself and the truck! Yay!
