shellback91 1,736 Posted March 11, 2021 This trail looks like a good one so I am doing some recon if you will. I am wondering if anyone has been out to there lately. I am curious about the overall condition etc.. I have read it usually remains in good shape but a second or third opinion is never a bad thing.
4x4tographer 2,712 Posted March 11, 2021 https://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/60-montana-mountain There are some pretty up-to-date trail reports here as well. What's interesting is that Trails Offroad has it rated as a 2/10 for difficulty. There must have been some changes to the trail conditions since, but it doesn't sound any worse than some of the normal stuff we deal with.
dzJeepChic 2,435 Posted March 11, 2021 We led a trip out there Feb of last year. It was fine. Pic thread from that trip here:
shellback91 1,736 Posted March 11, 2021 Thanks for the input folks. I am not sure I would make a good run leader because I drive slow at times and barely know what I am doing. 🤣 Let me noodle this trough and check a few things before I make a decision. 2

FYI, you can always set a small rig limit if that makes it less stressful for you! thanks Marty!
4x4tographer 2,712 Posted March 11, 2021 I second what Kristoffer said. 3/4 of the trail rides you've joined me on I've never run before. And I KNOW you've seen me screw up directions before. 😬 If you want to bounce ideas or want a gut check on something, happy to help! 2

Thanks Ryan, I appreciate the offer and will hit you and or Kristoffer up with a couple of questions. As far as you screwing up directions, I considered it a fun detour! I could tell the the rest of the group was jealous too.😂
reybie 65 Posted March 11, 2021 Montana Mountain was our very first adventure in our stock GC since it was really close to AJ. We were not ready, or I was not ready for the short span of river rocks close to the end of the trail lol. That was a little rocky for our rig and we weren't aired down. 😅😅
