01 MAY 2021: Trip Report - Back Way to Crown King

Where the rest of y'all were behind us, your view was blocked.  I did see that SXS parked when we arrived in CK.  It was a smaller red 2 seater and NOT a sportier/beefy off road type of SXS.  You could tell it wasn't meant for off road trails, just like your new BFF's SXS you pulled up that bank that high centered, these are the smaller ones meant for farming/ranching.

Gotcha. That guy I pulled up that obstacle had no business being out there.

wow, what a story! thanks for organizing and leading @4x4tographer - and for posting a trip report. i see your new lift and big meats made easy work of your previous nemesis (the ledges)!

that's BS about your soft-top, i'd have had words and then there'd have been a situation most likely since they were all drunkards. ugh!

big props to @gearhead and @AZRNintheJeep242 for helping out others, even if they might not have been the most deserving - way to represent!

The meats and lift made a massive and noticeable difference, fo’sho. Super happy with them.

Yeah with ever-increasing number of drunks on that particular trail on the weekends, I think I’ll only target weekdays for future runs to CK. It’s just getting too wild and too unpredictable with all these cotton-headed ninny-muggins.

I think another part of it is that it was nice out. Normally I run it every winter when it’s maybe too cold for an exposed ride for the average SXS driver.

And yes, always impressed by the ORP fam’s willingness to be the best ambassadors out on the trails! 🙌

Sarah and I actually discussed that yesterday and this morning, any future CK runs fur us will be during the week when it'll be less crowded.

I second this.

I also watched the Trailrecon video of them running CK, made it look hellaeasy and no drunk side by siders either.

waiting on a response from the Jeep BOH people’s on where/how to send proof to get the badge.

Wow, what an adventure! The drunks, SxS's and crowds in general are why we don't do CK anymore, and we haven't done it in years!! But yeah, how annoying. Kudos to you guys who helped others, too. Excellent pictures & videos everyone, and I really enjoyed your trip report @4x4tographer! Thank you for organizing and leading, sure made for a great story! ;)

The ORP family is second to none I have found. Good people doing good things!
