shellback91 1,851 Posted June 11 After being part of the Chigger buffet last weekend I started researching insect repellents for gear and clothes specifically. After spending more time than I care to admit researching various brands and products I settled on a repellent that works on Chiggers amongst other things. I found Sawyer Products SP618 on Amazon and ordered some. I am going to spray the 💩 out of my my tent, shoes and clothes this week before next weekends trip. It may or may not work but I am gonna give a swing and see what happens.
gearhead 468 Posted June 12 Nice! I'm going to try a dual combo of DEET and bug bands. Fingers crossed we don't encounter bugs this weekend like we did at Buckhorn Cabin. 🦟

The Buckhorn cabin had a lot of tall grass with a close by water source. Couple that with not a lot of visitors to that area and that'd probably them to go nuts when we showed up. Just a guess. I think we'll be good this weekend where we're going. We'll be loaded for bear with all the sprays and repellents too. 😃
