OBHS - On Board Hot Shower

Recommended Posts

I quoted you and posted there. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/215548-board-water.html ... Been looking into this for awhile now.

kewl, thanks - i'd love to see more taco owners over here! we've got lots of Jeeps, and some FJ Cruisers lately - but not really any tacoma, 4runner, or landcruiser action...

Yeah, I lurked for a Long time. Check the logs my IP's would pop up frequently. Especially in this thread. BUT now is the time I'm getting everything together. I was handed a gift card to the local hardware store. $250 goes a long way there for this system. Especially when they are willing to "Special Order" components!

Hello,

Would you mind providing a link for the heat exchanger?

Thanks,

this place seems to have a good price, and you can get the them with nearly any fittings you desire:

that link is to the 10 plate version, which worked well for me.

after the recent "fell in a hole" incident (http://offroadpassport.com/forum/showpost.php?p=42505&postcount=9)... i needed to remove the main shower interface temporarily in order to bend some sheet metal back...

i decided to leave the shower stuff out for now, and so i also removed the heat exchanger and most of the plumbing...

it will be put back in eventually. i want to re-do some of the setup but i don't have time right now. there's nothing horribly wrong, but i learned a lot from doing the project and there are several things that i'd like to improve. mostly there are items that could be simplified and a couple things that could be made more reliable.

you can look forward to version 2.0 sometime this year!
